The information is compiled from many sources. This is to ensure that the database is as complete as possible.
Some of the numbers are from the Oftel "Specified Numbering Scheme" at http://www.oftel.gov.uk/. This information carries the following copyright notice "The information is Crown Copyright and is published as required by the Numbering Conventions."
The information is gathered from many sources so it is difficult to check every entry. When an error is discovered our master list is updated and it is uploaded to our servers for you to download.
We are constantly checking the database and issue updates as frequently as possible (normally once per month). Thankyou to all our users who have reported errors in the database. We can't reply to every message but we do read them all and the entries will get corrected. We are now undertaking a massive review of the database to bring all entries up to date.
If you think you have found an error please double check before reporting it. Bear in mind the following facts:
- Some codes are geographic and others are not.
- Some codes may appear incorrect if a number is moved from one operator to another.

No, it would be very difficult to edit the database yourself.
We have decided not to implement an edit feature. As the phone codes apply to the whole UK we will maintain just one master list. You can inform us of corrections and these will be incorporated into the master list. This way everyone gets the benefit of any corrections.

If anyone can point me to reliable sources of telephone number codes for other countries I may consider releasing new variants.

Versions 2.0 and 2.1 are no longer supported. If you are using 2.0 or 2.1 still please upgrade.
There are no known problems with version 2.3
The following known problems exist in version 2.2 :-
- Occasionally UK Phone Codes may not exit properly. The auto-check feature may also not work in this case. To solve this problem upgrade to version 2.3.
